This is the 1954 Modern Prints & Drawings selected and with an explanatory text by Paul J. Sachs, published Alfred A. Knopf. It has the original full color dust jacket with a print by Toulouse-Lautrec. Underneath the covers are pink with a black spine and gold lettering. The book is filled with black and white prints from famous artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, and Monet as well as artists from other countries like Italy and Mexico. There is one separate print of a gargoyle that has been tucked in the pages. There are 261 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The dust jacket has general wear with small tears along the corners and edges. The covers underneath are in great condition. The pages are yellowed. Two of the edges of the gargoyle print have been wrinkled and have small tears.
The book measures 10.5 inches by 7.25 inches. The book is 1 inch thick.
