This is a midcentury lantern lamp with the original fiberglass lampshade. The base is tin with a black and gold houndstooth check. It has black plastic knobs that attach the lamp top to the base and secure the 9V lantern battery needed to power the lamp. There is a black plastic sliding on/off switch. The lamp has a brass O-ring finial. The shade is a natural fiberglass color, giving it a Western vibe. The shade has gold colored edging at top and bottom.
The lamp is in good vintage condition for its age and use. We did not have a working battery to test it, so we are unsure it it actually works or not. The pictures show a battery and lamp, but the lamp does not come with these items, so you will need to purchase them separately from your local hardware store. The picture is to show what type of bulb would be needed. The lamp base has some rusty areas and some tarnished areas. The fiberglass shade is mostly intact with some separation from the base on both of the sides. There is a large area of black discoloration on the left side above the separated area. The shade is dented on the long back side. Please see photos!
The lampshade measures 8.75 inches long by 4.5 inches wide. The base measures 5.25 inches by 2.75 inches. The lamp and base together are 14 inches tall.
