This is a lovely woven jute market bag with pewter colored handle brackets. The market bag is a rectangle tote style with an chain woven open weave. The bag has two braided top handles with pewter colored metal brackets and links. The bag is sewn together with jute twine on the sides. The top of both sides of the bag has a twin horizontal woven chain border.
The bag is in great vintage condition for its age and use. It is fully intact with no rips, tears, or missing jute. The handles are attached strongly. The pewter colored metal has dulled. The side seam has loose ends at the top on both sides. It's still knotted so perhaps just long ends of the threads that were not cut. It does have a natural bend down the middle like it was stored folded.
The bag measures 16 inches long by 12.75 inches wide.
