This a set of 5 ironstone blue transferware butter pat dishes, mostly likely antique John Ridgway dishes in the Palestine pattern. They are round with slightly angled sides, creating a soft octagon shape. The pattern has a basketweave pattern around the sides with three inset flourishes showing off three different buildings, most likely places around Palestine. The center has another building with surrounding trees and palm trees. They are not marked on the bottoms, but they do match the Palestine pattern exactly.
The butter pats are in good antique condition for their age and use. They have crackling to the glaze with staining to the crackling, giving them a lovely patina. The individual dishes have some small chips to the tops, bottoms, and edges. Please see photos! There are no cracks.
Each dish measures 4 inches in diameter.
