This is a vintage framed print of Maxfield Parrish's Thy Rocks and Rills, also known as The Old Mill. It was featured in the 1944 edition of the Brown & Bigelow calendar and then became well-known again in the 1970s with more prints. This edition has a blue-saturated print of the original painting matted on a cream-colored mat with a thin brown border. The print is framed under glass in a simple inset wood frame. There is picture wire on the back.
The print is in good vintage condition for its age and use. It is very blue; I'm not sure if this is original or aging to the print. The mat is slightly yellowed along the edges where it meets the frame. The glass is clear. The frame is intact with some slight separation at the corners. The frame is missing its back tabs or nails to hold in the glass. It is currently being held in by tape around all four sides, but the tape is beginning to lose its stick, causing the glass is to wobble in the frame.
The frame measures 10.5 by 8 inches. It is half an inch thick.
