This is the 1955 edition of The Service Hymnal Compiled For general use in all religious services of the Church, School, and Home, published by Hope Publishing Company. The Service Hymnal has a brown cover with gold lettering on both cover and spine. It has floral decorated endpapers and dark brown page ends. There are hymns glued inside both the front and back covers. There are 480 pages.
The hymnal is in good vintage condition for its age and use. It has general wear to covers with fraying to the corners and spine edges. The gold lettering is faded. The covers are attached at the spines. The pages are yellowed.
The hymnal measures 8.5 by 6 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
