This is the 1900 third edition of Ethelyn's Mistake by Mary J. Holmes, published by G.W. Dillingham and Company. It has dark green covers with lovely gold floral illustrations on the cover and spine. The spine is also lettered in gold. There is one black and white illustration plate at the title page. There are 303 pages with a red ribbon bookmark.
The book is in good antique condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear with fraying to corners and spine edges. The gold is intact with some slight fading. The covers are attached at the spine, Ethelyn Morrison wrote her name in pencil inside the front cover. The pages are browning. There is a four leaf clover pressed between the pages.
The book measures 7.5 by 5.25 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
