This is the 1933 edition of Lives of Fair & Gallant Ladies by The Seigneur de Brantome, published by Liveright Publishing Corporation. This book was originally written in the late 16th century about French noblewomen and their scandalous adventures in the French court. This edition also has some scandalous illustrations. It's basically a bunch of very spicy court gossip. If you like spicy romance and reality shows, this is your book! This is a limited edition of 500 copies bound in green Skyver leather with gold lettering and a gold figure of a nude woman. The rest of the covers are marbled. The end papers are dark green. There are 528 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The covers and spine have general wear with some discoloration and scratches. The gold lettering is intact. There is some discoloration to the endpapers. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 8.75 inches by 6.25 inches. It is 2 inches thick.
