This is a leather and brass compact from Lin Bren. The outside of the compact is covered in brown leather with an envelope style and a brass fan on the tip of the envelope flap. The outside of the compact lid is a coin purse with a snap. The inside of the compact has an area for powder and puff. The underside of the lid is a mirror. The compact is marked Lin Bren under the mirror. There is a sliding brass clasp to keep the compact closed.
The compact is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The leather has some staining, and it looks like someone signed their name on the back in gold. I'm not sure if this is original to the compact or a later addition. The snap works and opens and shuts easily. The clasp slides easily. There is no puff or powder in the compact. The mirror has some smudge and scratches. The brass throughout has tarnishing.
The compact measures 3.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide. It is about an inch thick.
