It has dark green covers with a full color illustration of birch trees and gold lettering. The spine also has gold lettering and gold illustration of a tree. The book is fully illustrated with both color and black and white illustration plates. There are 291 pages.
The book is in good antique condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear with some fraying to the corners and edges. The gold lettering and decoration is intact with some fading on the spine. The covers are attached at the spine with the front cover start to crack at the top quarter. Calvin J. Henry wrote his name and address inside the front cover. The illustrations are intact and bright. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 7.5 by 5 inches. It is is 1.5 inches thick.
