This is an ornate brass picture frame with a 4 x 6 inch opening. it is a Rococo or Florentine style with big curlicues and flourishes on the sides and top. The inner frame is a rectangle with wavy lines and little flowers in the corners. There is no glass in the frame. The back has a stand that swings out so it can be propped up on a table top or hung on the wall. The back is marked 08576.
The frame is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The brass has tarnish spots and dulling all over, giving it a lovely patina. There is no glass in the frame. The stand swings out with some muscle. The back of the frame is supposed to have three wires to hold in a picture but only two remain. One is missing.
The frame measures 8.5 inches wide by 11.5 inches tall. It is half an inch thick.
