This is a set of two Louis May Alcott Library edition books - Jo's Boys (1973) and A Garland for Girls (1972), both published by Grosset & Dunlap. Both books have their original full color dust jackets with their 1970s illustrations on the front. Garland has lettering in purple and Boys has lettering in blue. The covers underneath match the jackets. Both books have an illustration at the title page. Garland is 286 pages and Jo's Boys is 358 pages.
The books are in good vintage condition for their age and use. The both have general wear to both jackets and covers with some rips and tears to the jackets and wrinkling to the covers. Both have discoloration and yellowing to the pages. The covers are attached at the spines. Jo's Boys has a bookplate on the inside cover.
The books measure 8.25 inches by 5.75 inches. They are 1.25 inches thick.
