This is an antique framed cross-stitch floral needlepoint. The floral centerpiece is an oval mix of roses and other flowers in shades of pink, white, lilac, green, and gold. The flowers are cross-stitched on top of a solid cream needlepoint background. The piece is framed in a heavy dark brown wood frame. The back of the frame is also solid wood that has been nailed in with round top nails. There is an attached metal chain to hang the piece.
The needlepoint and frame are in good antique condition for their age and use. The needlepoint and cross-stitch is intact with general wear. There are two small areas of missing needlepoint yarn at the top and bottom of the frame. The frame glass is clear with what looks like paint lines around the edges of the glass. The wood is solid with some minor separation at the corners, especially the top left corner. It is very heavy but the chain does hold and is able to hang the piece without assistance.
The frame measures 18 inches tall by 14.75 inches wide. It is 1.25 inches thick.
