This is an antique undated edition of The Little Princess of Tower Hill by Mrs. L.T. Meade by the A.L. Burt Company. It has beige covers with green lettering and detailing. There is a full color inset portrait illustration on the front cover. The spine is also decorated and lettered in green. There is one black and white illustration plate at the title page. There are 274 pages with 8 additional advertisement pages. The address listed for the company on the advertisement pages dates the book to somewhere between 1899 and 1914.
The book is in fair antique condition for its age and use. The covers have wear with staining, discoloration, and fraying to corners and edges. The illustration has faded with scratches. There are two inscriptions inside the front cover, one in pencil and one in pen. One says, "Miss Bernice Hiatt from Avis Hiatt (Mason)," and the other says, "Presented to Avis Hiatt by her Teacher Ethel Posey as a reward for hard study." The front cover has cracked at the title page. The back cover is still attached. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 7.5 by 5 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
