This is a small framed black and white silhouette. It features a courting couple with a 1700s French vibe. One of them is one a tree swing with a flouncy dress and a rose covered bodice. The other is standing next to the swing wearing beribboned stockings and holding on to the swing vine. The border is a fantastical mix of vines, leaves, and flowers. The back is marked Made in and a country but it's too smudged to make out. The silhouette is framed with a simple thin black leather tape. There is a black ribbon with brass hoop attached to hang the silhouette.
The silhouette is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The silhouette background has yellowed and there is some clouding to the glass in the top right corner. The glass is poking through the leather in the top left corner. The ribbon is fraying but still attached and able to hold the weight of the silhouette.
The silhouette measures 4 inches tall by 5.5 inches wide. It is an eighth of an inch thick.
